Office Friendly's golf game raises money for its Community Foundation

Members of Office Friendly met last week at Da Vere Staverton Estate Golf Club for a superb day of golf, networking and fundraising activities. Clear skies, a gentle breeze and high spirits: the day was lined up to be a great success before the first tee was placed. Not only did members have a chance to discuss exciting business opportunities, they also raised a significant amount for the Office Friendly Community Foundation.

Everyone was on top form,” said Julie Hawley, MD. “It was great to see members take time to relax and network in such a casual way. It just goes to show how well we work together and have fun at the same time. This is what Office Friendly is all about.”

The golfing session saw Todds of Lincoln take first place in the team competition, Tony Baker of The Roman Group bagged nearest pin, and longest drive went to Tim Capper of Prima. Later, ex-Liverpool/Denmark football player, Jan Mølby, led the evening’s entertainment with a guest speech. Dinner was followed by both a raffle and blind auction that raised money for the Office Friendly Community Foundation. This new corporate social responsibility programme gives back to disadvantaged young people with numerous fundraisers throughout the year.

Office Friendly also took the opportunity to introduce their latest fundraiser, a World Cup Sweepstake similar to Fantasy Football. For a nominal fee, members can compete to win £250 towards a sporting event of their choice.
