BOSS coronavirus update: workplace testing

The government has announced earlier this week that the deadline for businesses in England to access free rapid lateral flow tests (LFTs) has been extended from 30 June to 19 July 2021

More detail on government funded workplace testing is available here. These tests can be used in the workplace or distributed to workers to use at home.

In order to apply for free tests, businesses must have already registered prior to the 12 April 2021 deadline. If you have not registered (therefore not eligible for free tests), there are alternative routes:

• Buy tests and set up workplace testing
• Pay an approved provider to run a test site for you
• Ask employees to get their LFT tests delivered to their home or pick up from their local chemist
• Utilise the NHS testing sites for PCR testing if symptoms are recognised
