Brother and Midwich celebrate 35 years of partnership

Brother UK and Midwich are celebrating 35 years in partnership following a strong 12 months which saw hardware sales increase substantially year-on-year.
Brother UK was the first trade-only print vendor to partner with Midwich and is now its largest print provider by revenue. Last year, the distributor posted overall sales growth of more than 20% to over £570m.
The growth comes as Midwich celebrates its 40th anniversary just a year after Brother UK passed the 50-year mark of trading in the United Kingdom.
Phil Jones MBE, Brother UK MD, presented a traditional Japanese Daruma figure to Midwich Group MD Stephen Fenby and his senior management team to mark the occasion.
Jones said: “Back in my early days as a salesperson looking after Midwich in the mid 90s, I could see they were destined for big things. They’ve always been customer and market focused, with progressive management teams and a strong bias for action. It’s been incredible to see their growth in the UK, then to Europe and internationally, which is testament to the way the business is run. Our 35 year partnership has been built on our strong relationship, shared values and passion for service. I’m genuinely delighted to witness their continuing success, long may that continue.”
Fenby added: “The last four decades have been a fantastic journey for our company as we have expanded into new sectors and markets across the world. Having a partner like Brother by our side has been a cornerstone of this success. The strength of their product innovation is matched by the way they work, in everything from technical support to their relentless pursuit of excellence and the very best service. Here’s to the next 40 years.”
