Brother UK and Advanced Labelling eye up market growth

Brother UK and Advanced Labelling Ltd (Labelzone) are celebrating three decades as partners in delivering label print solutions to businesses across the UK

The Poole-based firm, established in 1985 as a local dealer, is Brother UK’s oldest partner in the market and stocked the company’s first label solution, launched 31 years ago. It’s since sold thousands of devices from the vendor.
The partners say they are now focused on capitalising on future growth in the market, with the value of the sector set to rise by 20% to more than £40bn over the next five years.
Advanced Labelling Ltd has a customer base of more than 80,000 companies in the UK and overseas. It supplies Brother UK’s rugged P-touch devices to electrical contractors and network installers, the QL range for producing barcode and shipping labels and the latest VC-500W inkless, full colour label printers.
Phil Jones MBE, MD at Brother UK, said: “We’re delighted to celebrate 30 years in partnership with Advanced Labelling Ltd, spanning two generations of the family business.
“Originally trading with us as a general office products dealer in 1989, they have since grown to become one of our most important reseller partnerships for our labelling category, developing specialist applications and knowledge to service their extensive customer base. This move from generalist to specialist has served them so well and seen the business go from strength to strength.”
Stuart Wilson, MD at Advanced Labelling Ltd, added: “Many IT and office equipment sub sectors have faced significant disruption and change over the last three decades, but the labelling category has performed consistently and continues to grow.
“Having a vendor like Brother UK by our side over the years has helped us to ground our position as a key partner for companies around the world who rely on labelling solutions for their everyday business.
“Brother supplies durable devices that stand the test of time, and at a good price. The firm’s marketing support has also helped us to attract new customers in specialist markets like electrical cable marking.”
Advanced Labelling Ltd works across a variety of industries, selling technology into a wide range of sectors.
