May’s issue of Dealer Support magazine is now available online!
Following April’s focus on the health and wellbeing of ourselves and our colleagues, it’s time to think more broadly about far-flung people and the world in general. It would be irresponsible for us to ever stop talking about the incredibly damaging impact we’re having on this earth, and the topic has never been hotter (similar to climate change in summer…)
This month, we’re talking a lot about the products and services that can make the world a better place and how dealers can educate themselves and get involved – after all, social responsibility is what the modern workforce is striving for and what it wants from its resellers. We begin with a Big Ask all about people and charity, discussing with a handful of industry figures what they do to look after their communities and how they contribute to charities – and why.
We’ve also included two broader articles – one on paper and recycling, which is often the first stop when it comes to social responsibility, and the other on sustainable IT – which outline important points and guidance to think about regarding CSR. We even explore the latest green innovations that can be found in the office products world; you may be surprised by how simple they are!
This month’s interviewees include Julie Hawley of Office Friendly, Incovo’s Chris Thomas and Alun Howat from McMillan, all of whom describe their varying success stories and offer well-earned advice for the industry. On the theme of people (and caring for them) Martin Wilde leads the Final Word this month, outlining the purpose of the BOSS Business Supplies Charity – and how you can help.
Additionally, we discuss the latest trends in signage across both print and digital, while Spicers’s Richard Smithers explains in our Leaders of the Future committee column how and why networking can be hugely beneficial to business.
