Nemo Office Club announces date for Keep It Local Awareness Week

Hot on the heels of being shortlisted for the prestigious BOSS Awards Campaign of the Year, Nemo Office Club has announced the date of the inaugural Keep It Local Awareness Week, an event that will take place between 9-15th May 2022

The week will see the campaign reach out to a broader audience with daily hints & tips, competitions, give-aways and a wide range of posters, flyers and social media templates that can be used by businesses and consumers to show their support and encourage more people to put local at the top of their considerations when buying products and services.

“The message is clear and unreservedly supported,” explains group MD Tim Beaumont. “But we need to keep finding new ways to maintain the momentum and expand the audience for Keep It Local. The launch of the awareness week in May will give the campaign new focus, encourage further interaction and hopefully benefit many SMEs and independent businesses that are still disadvantaged when it comes to competing with multi-national competitors and large corporate online sellers that continue to get away with paying minuscule taxes compared to hard-working UK-based businesses.

“Since launching the campaign 18 months ago, the response has been phenomenal on both a local and national level” continues Beaumont. “Our latest message has been to encourage other SMEs to get involved and write to their local MPS, so far there have been over 50 downloads of the template letter available from the website – Word is definitely getting around and our plans for 2022 will only up the ante further!”
