Advantia Business Solutions has announced that due to the changing landscape in the business products market, and after consultation with the directors and the members, it has taken the decision to close its core Dealer Group operations on 30 June 2026 after more than 35 years.
Steve Carter, managing director said “market dynamics have changed so quickly, particularly in the last six months and we have recognised that it would become increasingly difficult in the long-term to maintain the high level of support and service our members rely upon. Members’ needs have always been at the forefront of all that we do, and after having secured a partnership with VOW Wholesale for our members, we have reviewed the support we are able to provide and have taken this very difficult decision. Our Dealer Group functions will cease and our team will leave at the end of June 2026. I would like to thank our incredible team for the expert support and true dedication they have given to our family of members over the years. I would also like to thank our supplier partners for their commitment to Advantia over many years.”
Following consultation with the Member Directors, Advantia prioritised a proactive stance by identifying a trusted partner that will carry forward its strong sense of community and provide continuity of the right support for its valued members.
Steve added. “We have been in discussion with BLOC Group to extend their resources and services to our members and to help establish them into the BLOC community. Having seen the broader level of solutions available through the BLOC business we truly believe this is the best possible fit for our members. It provides that “strength in numbers” comfort, and we trust that the level of support they will experience as members of BLOC will continue to help their businesses grow and thrive.”
Jeanette Caswell, BLOC managing director commented, “We have always shared Advantia’s strong commitment to community and personalised member support, underpinned by a longstanding mutual respect. As the market evolves rapidly, it is essential that we all continue to adapt. Working closely with Steve, his proactive approach and deep understanding of members’ needs have been invaluable, we are committed to building on his insights to deliver essential support and solutions. We are keen to warmly welcome them into the BLOC Community.”
Both groups have led these discussions with the support of VOW Wholesale, a strategic partner in delivering the services that Dealers rely on across the UK market. Speaking on behalf of VOW, Adrian Butler said: “The strength and longevity of the independent Dealer channel are fundamental to our success as a broad range wholesaler. We were delighted to welcome Advantia members back earlier this year, and it is encouraging to see two committed and loyal groups supporting one another during this period of change. We are fully behind these developments and are committed to providing 100% support to BLOC in onboarding Advantia members, ensuring a smooth transition avoiding any disruption to member businesses.”
