NEWS: Webinar to Guide Businesses Through Greenwashing

Young group of Asian businesspeople in team meeting, online video conference call on ESG (Environmental, social, corporate governance) discussion. Sustainable business practice, people work at home

As reported by Edie, registration has opened for a free-to-attend online masterclass focused on helping businesses avoid greenwashing and improve sustainability communications

Taking place on Tuesday 20 January 2026 at 1pm (GMT), the 45-minute session is being delivered in partnership with law firm Weightmans and will explore the rapidly evolving regulatory and enforcement landscape around green claims in the UK and EU.

The masterclass will examine recent developments including the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) anti-greenwashing rule, new sustainability disclosure requirements and the regulator’s use of AI-powered ad monitoring, which is increasing scrutiny of corporate environmental claims.

Experts will provide practical guidance on what robust, transparent sustainability communications look like, how organisations can substantiate their claims, and how to reduce the risk of greenwashing accusations. The session will conclude with a 15-minute live Q&A, allowing attendees to put questions directly to the speakers.
