Office Friendly unveils Van-Tastic grand prize

Dealer group Office Friendly has delivered its Van-Tastic grand prize of a Nissan E-NV200 electric van to winners Springfield Business Supplies

The van, which has been customised with bespoke livery by Office Friendly’s in-house designers, was unveiled on Monday 9 December at a handover ceremony attended by Bedford mayor David Hodgson alongside representatives from the incentive’s eight sponsors: VOW Wholesale, Brother, Fellowes, BIC, ACCO, 3M, and Antalis. Office Friendly MD, Julie Hawley, and business development manager, Martyn Cooper, were also in attendance.
Jason Stephen, director of Springfield, said: “We have been working hard to reduce our own carbon emissions over the last ten years, and are now working with our customers to help them implement their own carbon reduction programmes. The new van helps us to raise the awareness about what we can all do to play our part in working sustainably.
Bedford has been working hard to install more electric charging points around the town, and this only helps to encourage people to consider an electric or hybrid vehicle.”
Created in 2018, the Van-Tastic incentive sees Office Friendly members compete to gather tickets and be counted in a prize draw to win one of several prizes, including an electric van for their fleet.
The Van-Tastic initiative has been well received by suppliers and dealers alike and was shortlisted for both initiative of the year at 2019’s BOSS Awards. The incentive has also been shortlisted for marketing campaign of the year at the upcoming 2020 EOPA Awards.
After the success of Van-Tastic 2019, Office Friendly recently announced the launch of Van-Tastic 2020. The 2020 incentive will be supported yet again by 2019’s sponsors – VOW Wholesale, Brother, Fellowes, BIC, ACCO, 3M, Antalis and Office Friendly – and also welcomes visual communications brand Bi-Silque as its ninth sponsor.
As with 2019’s incentive, tickets will be earned by engaging with participating suppliers, boosting sales and holding blitz days; the more tickets a dealer earns, the more they increase their chances of winning a new electric van to add to their fleet.
