Society of Old Friends announces honoured guest for Autumn Guest Dinner

The Society of Old Friends is delighted to announce that its honoured guest at the upcoming Autumn Guest Dinner on the evening of 14 October 2021 will be the celebrated Gyles Brandreth

For over 110 years, the Society of Old Friends has worked hard to promote good fellowship and to organise excellent events for members and guests to meet and ‘sweeten business relations’ within the office supplies and associated industries. The addition of Gyles Brandreth into the mix is guaranteed to ensure a long and illustrious tradition of great speakers is upheld.

Gyles is a writer, broadcaster, actor, poet, former MP and Lord Commissioner of the Treasury, now Chancellor of the University of Chester. He has also become one of Britain’s most sought-after after-dinner speakers.

Society president Steve Robinson commented: “We wanted our return to face-to-face dinners to be marked with a very special guest. Over the years, the Society has hosted many wonderful speakers and Gyles Brandreth promises to make this an exceptional evening with his unique blend of wit and wisdom.”

Robinson continued: “The feedback we are receiving is that members are keen to get back together and to use the event as an opportunity, not only to see other industry friends ‘in 3D’ for the first time in 18 months, but also to use this very convivial environment to entertain customers, colleagues, family and friends.”

There are also a limited number of sponsorship packages available with VOW, OPI and Safescan already signed up as event sponsors.

This is an industry event not to be missed!
