Business technology provider Brother UK has launched a new range of A4/A3 inkjet printers to bolster resellers’ support for small businesses striving to boost employee efficiency at home and in the office
The devices feature print speeds of 28 images per minute (ipm), compared to 22ipm from the previous range, and boast a monthly duty cycle of up 2,500 pages, up from 1,500. This means that devices have a longer lifespan and will reduce the costs associated with replacing devices more frequently.
The models – the MFC-J5340DW, MFC-J5740DW, MFC-J6540DW and MFC-J6940DW – also feature automatic two-sided printing and optional A3 print and scan capabilities, which will provide people working from home with more flexibility to work with larger documents.
A new LCD touchscreen interface is designed to make printing simpler for users, who can also connect to the Brother Mobile Connect app to print on the go.
The new printers come with an enhanced Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) and improved paper trays that limit paper jams and downtime. Additional features include a 256MB memory, a 50-sheet ADF and up to two 250-page input trays, plus a 100-sheet paper output.
Russell Brown, head of SOHO sales at Brother UK, said: “We know that small efficiency gains can make a huge difference to small businesses, from reducing the time and cost of hardware maintenance to supporting teams to work faster and more flexibly.
“This new range balances time saving features with affordability to boost everyday productivity, while helping firms keep their costs down and ensure they keep themselves secure. Built with the latest network authentication and Wi-Fi security protocols, these devices offer extra peace of mind for those that need to focus on the priorities of running and growing their businesses.
“We’re committed to designing and building technology that helps resellers to tackle their customers’ challenges. This new range will help arm our partners with versatile models that are affordable and built to last.”
Brother is launching the new devices as part of a wider proposition to refresh its inkjet range. The latest models form a bridge between the recently upgraded X-Series professional A3 inkjet devices, built for larger firms and the A4 Mini Business and A4 Mini Regular inkjets, created for home use.
