The BOSS Business Supplies charity – the independent charity first established in 1925 by what later became the BOSS Federation – has announced that one of its longest-serving trustees is standing down
Edward Cheshire – who spent his industry career at Helix, ACCO, Office Club and Nectere – and who has served the charity as a trustee and Visitor for nearly 30 years, has stepped down, noting: “There have been many faces across the meeting table over the years I will miss them all, but my memories of the charity will linger on.”
Graeme Chapman MBE, the previous chair of the charity, commented: “For 30 years, Edward has been one of the charity’s longest serving trustees, having worked with no fewer than five of its chairmen. In addition to regularly attending the trustees’ meetings, Edward has visited many of our beneficiaries throughout the Midlands, and always provided advice and support to the charity’s team.”
Current BOSS charity chair Martin Wilde added: “We would all like to thank Edward for all he has done for the charity. Such a long-sustained commitment to a voluntary cause is extraordinary and wonderful. Not only will the trustees miss him, but so will the many beneficiaries that he has visited and supported over the years”
The role of the BOSS charity is to give financial support to those who have worked in the UK business supplies industry who are in need.
