Heart Systems announced today that after decades of service, Helen Young has retired as MD
Having worked in the business supplies industry since the 80’s, Helen founded Katlog Computer Systems Ltd in 1992. Katlog’s DOS based back-office system ‘Statkat’ was utilised by over 300 business supplies dealers during its peak. In 2001 Helen founded Heart Systems Ltd.
Heart Systems back-office software ‘PulseOffice’ and eCommerce solution ‘PulseStore’ are currently a major player in the business supplies market.
Helen’s daughter’s Sarah Kennett and Emily Murphy who have worked for Heart since the early days, will continue to run the business as directors.
Helen will continue to work on development projects with Heart Systems, on a contract basis.
Helen Young, comments “It is with great sadness that I have reached the age where I have to hand over the reins to my daughters Sarah and Emily. As long-standing directors, they have the wealth of experience to continue serving our customers. I am looking forward to spending more time with my husband hopefully will find more time to indulge in my dressmaking hobby”
Sarah Kennett, comments “I am sad that the day has finally come when Helen has to retire. We are working on some exciting new projects which will benefit existing customers and continue to attract new business. We intend to make Helen proud!”
Emily Murphy, comments “I will miss working with my mum and mentor Helen. We have a busy year ahead, with events and new product development, so it’s business as usual, please get in touch anytime with any questions or for just a chat, we are always happy to hear from you!”
