As reported by The Business Magazine, Bristol-based The Happy Business School is recognized for its mission to promote workplace happiness as part of the SmallBiz100 line-up.
The Happy Business School was founded in early 2022 by Carly Cannings, a former solicitor and senior leader. Carly is on a mission to teach businesses the secrets of workplace happiness.
Following a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis just six weeks after her daughter was born in 2018 Carly had to embark on her own journey to find happiness.
She left her corporate role and now works with organisations to help them create people-centric cultures where happy people can thrive at work.
Carly shares tips and advice with employees to help them take more control over their happiness at work, and also helps leaders create an environment that allows their people to flourish.
Following a nationwide search The Happy Business School has been chosen as part of this year’s SmallBiz100 lineup, which showcases a lineup of 100 of the most inspiring independent businesses from across the nation.
Small Business Saturday will return on 2 December 2023, with a mission to support and celebrate the UK’s 5.5 million small businesses. With small firms facing huge challenges due to the cost of living crisis, the campaign is more vital than ever as it moves in to its second decade in the UK.
“I’m delighted to have been named one of the top small businesses in the UK. I’m incredibly passionate about increasing happiness at work and to be recognised for my work is just amazing.” said Carly about being named one of the SmallBiz100.
The Happy Business School will be profiled by the campaign on Wednesday 18 October as part of the 100 day countdown to Small Business Saturday UK.
“It’s fantastic to celebrate The Happy Business School as part of this year’s campaign” said Michelle Ovens CBE, director of Small Business Saturday UK.
“The impressive small businesses featured in this year’s SmallBiz100 sum up the phenomenal contribution that small firms make to our economy and local communities.”
Small Business Saturday is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which celebrates small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and to support businesses in their communities.
Over the time the campaign has run in the UK it has engaged millions of people each year and seen over billions of pounds spent with small businesses across the UK on Small Business Saturday.
