The BOSS Business Supplies Charity’s 2022 fundraising campaign is having raises £6,560 at BOSS Awards dinner
At last week’s BOSS Awards dinner, the BOSS Business Supplies Charity raised a sparkling £6,560 – of which £1,800 alone was from the auction of an amazing prize of a four night stay for two in Marrakech, including a £300 contribution towards flight costs, donated by industry veteran Allan Crump and Stuart Login at Trodat UK respectively. The remaining £4,760 was raised from the sale of raffle tickets for a stellar array of prizes donated by Nestlé Professional UK, Armor UK, the BOSS Federation and BOSS North East.
BOSS Charity chair Martin Wilde commented, “We are so grateful to our wonderful industry for its faithful support for its Charity. All of the money we raise goes to help our beneficiaries and to cover our very limited costs, so without the valued help of the BOSS Federation, of our prize donors and of the very many auction bidders and raffle ticket purchasers, we would be unable to provide this much-needed financial support. With the cost of living increasing rapidly, we are only going to be supporting even more families in need in 2023, so thanks to these funds we are in a strong position to face the coming year.”
The BOSS Business Supplies Charity is the registered charity partner of the BOSS Federation and was established in 1925 to provide for those needing financial assistance who have worked – or currently work – for at least two years in the business supplies industry. So far, in 2022 it has helped over 40 current and former industry colleagues in need by supplying one-off and quarterly support payments of over £75,000. Around 40% of the money that the Charity gives away each year comes directly from fundraising activities such as at the BOSS Awards.
