Dublin-based dealer, Codex Office Solutions, gathered its staff together earlier this month at the Clarion Hotel in Dublin to review the last seven months of business trading.
Each range is continually analysed for product selection and sales. According to the dealer, significant growth in print and facilities supplies has been seen this year due to attention to detail, product selection and hard work. The securing of a number of public service print contracts greatly contributed to the double-digit growth in this range.
Facility and workplace solutions also continue to add to the overall sales growth. Interiors and furniture sales remain steady, while office supplies are up 3% on last year, excluding the Government Contract sales. The Government Contract implemented in June and July will add greatly to the final numbers for year end, which are measured separately.
The success of securing the Government Tender has led Codex to enhance and strengthen its tendering department, identifying quickly that having industry leading standards in business has opened up a large number of new opportunities both in the public and private sector.
Particular attention was also made to the fact that, in 2016, Codex was a sponsor for the DePaul Raft Race, a worthy and deserving cause, Codex took the opportunity at the Business gathering to launch its sponsorship for the DePaul annual raft race 2017 and to raise funds for Homelessness.
Siobhan O’Connor, managing director of Codex, said: “Due to the amount of new business opportunities opening up within the market at present it made sense to add extra resources. What we are finding is that while price is still important, service and the ability to actually deliver the goods and add value is now becoming a key driver for customers to change.”
