Having joined ECS in 2017 as group purchasing manager, Meggett was named colleague and employee of the year following his first full 12 months at ECS due to his commitment and outstanding contributions. After reaching even greater heights and excelling in this role, the company are now delighted to announce that Meggett has been appointed as general manager of ECS.
Meggett has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of roles within the print industry having previously worked with The Danwood Group for 18 years as group service purchasing manager and group facilities manager.
Commenting on the announcement, Chris Fink, MD of ECS said: “We are delighted to have appointed Steven to the role of general manager. Steven brings with him extensive strategic and operational experience at an international level, with a strong track record of driving sustainable results.
“Following our recent excellent financial results, this is an incredibly exciting time for ECS, especially within the UK where we are focused on unlocking a new phase of growth and further enhancing our customer experience. Steven is perfectly positioned to lead the team, leveraging his depth of experience and passion for ECS’s Partners and team members.”
Speaking about his appointment, Meggett said: “There’s no denying this will be a challenging role. 2018 was a tough year for remanufacturers with significant changes in law and legislative compliance including major changes in the various product supply chain across the globe. However, ECS has continued to enjoy growth during this time and has continued to launch new products and service initiatives. Moving forward, my role is to ensure that we continue to focus on providing the right products and services to our customers whilst also delivering a robust and profitable business plan. I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into the role to strengthen our already prominent position in the industry.”
CEO Felicity Rabbitte, added: “2018/2019 saw ECS process the highest ever number of cartridges, expand its capacities by record capital expenditure in new equipment and make significant improvements in working capital. Our company is progressive, innovative, leading the charge in terms of remanufacturing and has an exciting portfolio of new products yet to come, so I am confident Steven will continue to drive the brand forward.
“We also share a common vision to create industry leading high-performance toners, drums and parts while supporting a closed loop economy by maximising recycling and recovery of materials, minimising waste and reducing our impact on the environment.”
