Exertis has announced the appointment of Michelle Roberts as UK head of health and safety (H&S) and facilities management, reporting to Sion Wineyard, Exertis UK, operations director
Roberts will be responsible for leading, developing and managing, on an on-going basis, the facilities and H&S requirements at its sites across the country.
“Exertis has grown exponentially and effective facilities management is key to our productivity, sustainability and the well-being of our employees. Safety first is our company philosophy and Michelle will play an instrumental role in driving our strategy in this area. She has almost twenty years’ experience in senior facilities management roles and is ideal to manage our range of sites across the UK.
“With her proven expertise in strategic planning and budgeting of facilities management, contract negotiations, health and safety and legal compliancy, I am certain she will bring some best practice in facilities management and H&S compliancy to Exertis,” said Wineyard.
Roberts has worked in facilities management for a variety of companies in different markets, most recently at MKS Instruments. Previously she has worked at ALD Automotive, Broadcom and STMicroelectronics.
“I am looking forward to the challenge of driving facilities management initiatives across the business as well as ensuring that the day-to-day operations provide the right safe and productive environment for Exertis employees. Facilities management is an important area for all organisations, particularly one that has grown at the pace of Exertis,” said Roberts.
