Langstane are the largest independent office products company in Scotland and one of the largest in the UK, with a head office in Aberdeen and further branches in Dundee and Livingston
They began as commercial printers with one printing press but soon added stationery, office furniture and equipment. They originally traded out of premises on a street in Aberdeen called Langstane Place (hence the name) before moving to their purpose built HQ in 1998. The two other sites in Dundee and Livingston have contributed to growth throughout the whole of Scotland with particular success in the development of Public Sector business.
Still a family owned business, one of the late Colin F Campbell’s sons, Colin D Campbell is managing director and his other son Bruce Campbell, who is a commercial pilot, is a shareholder. The late John C Campbell’s son Jack Campbell, now retired, is a shareholder and Jack’s son Mark Campbell is oOffice interiors director.
To this day Langstane continue to widen their portfolio of products and services way beyond their original offering and in recent years have added a shredding service, promotional products, patient care furniture, catering supplies, janitorial supplies and PPE. What’s more, each department has their own team of specialists readily available to provide a tailored first-class service which can respond to all requirements rapidly.
Langstane are proud to have been accredited with various prestigious awards over the years. Not only does it prove they know their stuff, it’s also a great boost to the morale of the Langstane team. They hold the Royal Warrant as Printers and Stationers to the Late Her Majesty the Queen for supplying Balmoral Estate and also take great pride in the numerous BOSS Dealer Excellence Awards they have won over the years.
Langstane are one big customer focussed team with a can do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile. They always aspire to offer the best products and services leading to long lasting relationships and customers coming back time after time.
So what does the future hold? Managing director Colin Campbell said “As we celebrate 75 years in business we face unprecedented economic challenges in an ever changing world but we are confident that we have the pedigree and experience to continue evolving in the right direction. We have enjoyed the journey and look forward to many more successful years to come.”
