Dan Wooler and his team are rowing 3,000 miles for charity, aiming to raise funds for young people facing adversity
Dan Wooler, owner of TC Group, is gearing up for the challenge of a lifetime. On 12 December 2024, Wooler and three friends will set off on the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge—a gruelling 3,000-mile rowing race from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Nelson’s Dockyard in English Harbour, Antigua. Known as the world’s toughest rowing challenge, the journey will push the team’s physical and mental endurance to the extreme.
The team will be rowing to raise funds for Star*scheme, a charitable initiative founded by Dan. The charity helps young people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) by engaging them with grassroots rugby, providing them with a positive outlet and support network to overcome difficult circumstances.
The workplace supplies community has already rallied behind Dan’s efforts, with sponsorships secured from United and Elm Interiors. However, he is eager to attract additional support for this global event, which garners extensive TV coverage!
Look out for our interview with Dan, where he tells us more about the challenge, in our upcoming issue of Dealer Support.
Anyone interested in sponsoring the team can reach out to Dan directly at dan@starscheme.co.uk.
