NEWS: IPIA Restructures Leadership to Boost Support

As reported by Digital Printer, the IPIA has revamped its leadership team and council to take a more proactive approach in supporting the print industry

The Independent Print Industries Association (IPIA) has announced a significant restructuring aimed at enhancing the support it provides to its members and the wider print industry. As part of this strategic reform, the IPIA has introduced a new leadership team, expanded its council, and shifted its approach to be more proactive in addressing industry needs.

The new leadership team includes Charles Rogers, Managing Director of Portland Media, who has been appointed as the new president. Alasdair Browne, from Abbot Print, takes on the role of chair, with Mark Stephenson of Fujifilm Europe stepping in as vice chair. Reflecting on the changes, Mr. Browne expressed his vision for the future of the IPIA, saying, “I see the future of the IPIA as a dynamic, collaborative hub – where dedicated professionals in print work together with passion and purpose.”

The IPIA’s council also welcomes three new members: Sarah Lees from Compass Business Finance, Pete Horwood from Imprint MIS, and Mike Hughes from Latcham. To better address key industry challenges, the council has been restructured into four Strategic Imperative Committees, each led by a chair and supported by dedicated working groups. These committees will focus on critical areas, including standards and best practice, education and professional development, market development and advocacy, and networking and collaboration.

This restructured framework is designed to allow the IPIA to tackle the most pressing issues in the print industry and help shape its future by providing stronger, more targeted support to its members.
