Nemo Office Club member, Office Supplies Now had the honour of meeting Paul Waugh MP at a special prize-giving ceremony for a local World Book Day competition – and took the opportunity to shine a light on the values behind the Keep It Local campaign
John Fitton, managing director of Office Supplies Now, presented one of the competition prizes alongside Mr Waugh, who was photographed proudly holding a Keep It Local sign – a gesture that perfectly symbolised shared values of community support, local relationships, and sustainable decision-making.
“Meeting Paul Waugh MP was a fantastic opportunity to talk about what Keep It Local really means,” said John Fitton. “It’s not just a slogan – it’s a commitment to real relationships, trusted service, and keeping business and investment in our own communities. That’s something both Office Supplies Now and Paul clearly care about, and it was brilliant to see those values come together in such a positive way.”
The meeting took place during the prize presentation for Paul Waugh MP’s World Book Day competition, which saw Year 5 pupils from across the Rochdale constituency writing about their favourite books. Office Supplies Now was proud to support the event, donating stationery prizes and helping promote literacy and creativity in local schools.
The campaign to Keep It Local continues to gain momentum in Greater Manchester and beyond, with more businesses and community leaders recognising the importance of choosing local suppliers and services. Office Supplies Now remains committed to playing its part – not just by supplying workplaces, but by actively supporting schools, charities, and local initiatives.
