Wholesale business supplies company, Spicers, has named Martin Weedall, currently Chief Operations Officer at OT Group, as the new head of its Dealer Division. This appointment comes as part of a strategic repositioning aimed at boosting sales alignment, customer service, and operational efficiencies across its extensive dealer network
Steve Morley, continuing as Director of Sales, will work closely with Martin to implement these strategies, ensuring sales efforts are fully coordinated with operational goals. This concerted effort will deliver significant benefits to Spicers’ dealers, ensuring they receive the highest standard of service and support.
Martin has been part of OT Group, the parent company of Spicers, since 2022, joining from EVO Group, where he held senior sales and operations positions across VOW and Banner for more than three decades.
OT Group CEO, Andrew Jones, commented on the structural update: “With Martin’s experience and knowledge of the wholesale channel, he is ideally placed to lead Spicers. His leadership will build upon the robust foundation we now have in place and will ensure our commitment to excellence and reliability is maintained.”
Martin added: “I’m excited to take the helm at Spicers, ensuring that our dealer community receives our full support. A significant focus will be on making sure the company is working both with and for dealers, providing the choice and flexibility that the market is in need of.”
This latest update aligns with Spicers’ ongoing strategy to enhance competitiveness, deliver exceptional service, and broaden their product offering for the dealer community. Having recently invested a multi-million-pound figure into an integrated ERP solution, automation, and stock management, Spicers is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of independent dealers.
