Exertis has announced further information on its third Plug In To Exertis channel event to be held at the Silverstone Circuit on 16 May.
Christian Horner OBE, team principal at Red Bull Racing Formula One Team, will be the guest speaker at this year’s event. Horner led the team to four consecutive constructors’ and drivers’ titles between 2010 and 2013.
Paul Bryan, Exertis UK and I MD, said: “I am delighted that Christian has agreed to take time out in his busy Formula One schedule to be our guest speaker. He has enjoyed a distinguished career in motor sport and has been Team Principal at Red Bull Racing since 2005.
“Under his tenure, the team has secured 59 wins and 60 pole positions. I am certain he will provide great insight into what it takes to manage a successful team in a high profile, sport and business that uses the latest technology to gain a competitive edge.”
Plug In To Exertis will feature four dedicated exhibition areas focused on business, AV, enterprise and consumer solutions, a seminar programme and a host of show-floor features designed to inform, educate and provide opportunities for customers to increase their sales into existing clients or start conversations with prospective ones.
The seminar programme includes a variety of interesting topics, including GfK on the revolution in retail and CONTEXT on digital transformation and its place in resellers’ plans for growth in 2019, as well as sessions from market leading vendors, Microsoft, Dell and Samsung.
The importance of services in the channel will be in evidence with three seminars focused on Exertis’ offerings that span retail to enterprise, adding value to customer propositions. In addition, security vendor ESET on “How to hack a police station” and VR creative agency, Rewind’s seminar on bringing VR to the B2B world will also be on offer in an agenda packed day.
In the consumer area, show floor features include a gaming zone complete with ambient in-game lighting, a premium audio zone and a fully fitted Smart Tech house. The business sector will include the latest in computing, print, mobile and components. The AV area will showcase the additional vendors and solutions following the Stampede integration including digital signage and video wall control to audio, collaboration and emerging technologies like drones.
Finally, the enterprise area will highlight solutions ranging from server, storage, networking and HCI to security, wireless, UC, software and the cloud.
“There are plenty of reasons to visit every dedicated area at Plug In To Exertis. We provide the widest range of technology in the industry and it’s a chance for our customers to add complementary products and solutions that can provide more profit for their business. Whether they’re a retailer or a reseller, there’s plenty on offer to ensure a great return on their investment in spending the day with Exertis,” added Bryan.
