Canon UK & Ireland is delighted to announce its partnership with Social Print & Copy CIC – a social enterprise based in Edinburgh, which delivers transparent and fair priced printing, photocopying, document and digital solutions to third sector organisations across Scotland
Through this new partnership, Social Print & Copy CIC, which specialises in the procurement of printers, copiers, Multi-Function Devices (MFPs) and software, will become an official Canon reseller – offering Canon’s renowned portfolio to its customers across Scotland.
Social Print & Copy CIC will now offer devices from Canon’s entire document solutions portfolio which includes imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX, iSENSYS X and imagePRESS ranges – as well as expertise around Canon’s cloud-based products which include uniFLOW Online, an award-winning print and scan management platform.
Established by a group of leading charity partners and print industry professionals in 2019, Social Print & Copy’s CIC objective is to change the way that the third sector meets its printing and copying needs. It aims to put an end to complex and expensive long term service contracts and instead, works closely with its customers to deliver better value, ethical and sustainable print, and trusted document solutions.
Since its inception, the organisation has grown to be a highly respected business – providing numerous third sector organisations with printing and copying solutions. Coupled with this, Social Print & Copy CIC is also committed to boosting employment in its local area and removing barriers to work for young people. In line with this, in 2021, the business was awarded major funding from Social Investment Scotland (SIS) and the Scottish Government’s Adapt and Thrive programme which helped it to boost its business and recruit five new apprentices.
As a result of the new partnership with Canon, Social Print & Copy CIC will be taking on additional staff including six apprentices and new recruits in sales and service. A move it hopes will help meet the increased demand the new partnership with Canon will bring. The organisation has also transformed the meeting space within its Edinburgh offices to create an interactive showroom area where new technology will be displayed.
The business will be enrolled into Canon’s Partner Programme, a scheme created to provide Canon’s partners with the tools they require to meet today’s customer needs and to grow. As a Silver Partner, Social Print & Copy CIC will have access to market insight, business planning resources, exclusive events, marketing and sales support, and incentive programmes – all delivered through Canon’s Partner Portal. Canon will also work closely with Social Print & Copy to identify shared goals and provide dedicated account support.
James Pittick, partner channel director for Canon UK & Ireland comments: “We are excited to be partnering with Social Print & Copy CIC, whose legacy is based on providing ethical and sustainable products and great value solutions to its customers. Ian Gray from Social Print & Copy CIC said: “The new partnership with Canon will allow us to offer a much stronger portfolio to our customers and to grow our customer base. Canon is the perfect partner to support us on this journey – with a superior product range, competitive prices, fast turnaround speeds and unrivalled training support for our young people. We anticipate an exciting partnership ahead.”
