Spicers Ireland has released a statement regarding administration
The statement reads as follows:
Following last week’s announcement that Spicers UK and OfficeTeam have filed a notice of intention to go into administration, it is with regret that that we inform you that on 1st May 2020 a petition was presented before the High Court to wind up Spicers (Ireland) Limited and appoint official liquidators.
Steve Horne, CEO of SPOT Group, says “Martin, Kathleen and the team have worked tirelessly over the past 32 years to build the business. It is a very sad and difficult time for our colleagues in Spicers Ireland. It has been a real pleasure to work with the team and I would like to thank our loyal customers for their support.”
Spicers and OfficeTeam continue to work towards a rescue plan to ensure a satisfactory future for the UK business and secure as many jobs as possible; but at this time cannot confirm the outcome or timeframe.
