Woodbank Office Solutions chosen to supply printers and provide document management services to Robinsons Brewery
Simon Fuller, IT infrastructure service manager at Robinsons explains their criteria: ”As a family run business, we wanted to partner with someone with the same values and ethos. We wanted to speak to the owner, not just deal with a company who only want numbers and figures. At Woodbank we spoke to Janet Bowden from the very start. We like that.
“The process was very easy and straight forward. Operationally no issues and integration was great. Woodbank technical guys are very experienced, and they knew what they were doing. We just left them to it. They do all the liaison and the training. Very efficient, very smooth.”
For Janet Bowden, owner of Woodbank having Robinsons as a customer is a dream come true. “I moved into Woodbank House Friday 30th May 2003. The day is emblazoned into my memory. It was a beautiful hot day, I looked across from my office, smelt the Hops from the brewery and thought to myself, one day that account will be mine.”
Like so many businesses, the challenge for Woodbank came when sorting the order for a large number of machines over lockdown. Supply chains were massively affected and getting machines was difficult. Janet’s long-standing relationship with Konica Minolta came into its own with both businesses pulling out all the stops to make sure the order was fulfilled so Woodbank could deliver on time.
Cameron Mitchell, head of sales at Konica Minolta said: “Primarily you are dealing with a massive supply chain, particularly in the current climate. Making sure timescales are met is a priority for large jobs like Robinsons. Janet and her company are an important client of ours and as their product partner, we in turn were looking after a new and important client for them.”
A final word from Martin Attwood, head of finance and IT, Robinsons brewery:
“All I can say is since moving our business to Woodbank, it’s going well. They have a can-do attitude and pull out all the stops. An example is where one of our pubs in Cumbria ran out of toner, a call to Woodbank and no toner cartridges were available. One of their guys at their Stockport Head Office got in his car, drove up to the pub and refilled the cartridge. For us it’s important we can speak to one person for whatever we need, and they find a solution. Woodbank’s offer does exactly that and their values fit with our own.”
