MD of Brother UK, Phil Jones, will be riding the 2018 Tour of Britain – an event happening between 2 and 9 September – one day ahead of the official race to raise money for charity.
Jones will be riding with seven-day world record holder James Golding, and the two are aiming to raise at least £50,000 for the Dave Rayner Fund.
Jones has set this goal to celebrate his own 50th birthday, Brother UK’s 50th anniversary, and to ensure promising young cyclists are given the opportunity to ride via the fund.
As a well-known and well-liked figure in the industry, Jones is asking that friends and colleagues alike help publicise the ride on social media (his handle is @roadphil), help to raise money for Dave Rayner by completing fundraising initiatives, donate to his cause (via www.daveraynerfund.co.uk), become a sponsor or help with en-route services like accommodation and sports therapy.
