UTAX has been accredited within the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), having demonstrated compliance with and sound management of current health and safety legislation.
CHAS was created in 1997 by experienced health and safety professionals to improve health and safety standards across the UK. The certification was presented to UTAX following an assessment of the company’s Health and Safety Policy Statement, the organisation of its health and safety, specific health and safety arrangements that are to a standard which is acceptable to CHAS’s buyers and to others, and other key areas of assessment focus, including training, how the teams work on client sites and associated disciplines.
Andy Rhodes, UTAX’s health and safety consultant, commented: “This is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates that the Health and Safety and training standards and processes of UTAX satisfy the required standards of an industry wide certification scheme. This will reinforce that the company satisfies safety standards across their business and supply chain.”
MD Shaun Wilkinson added: “We are delighted with the accreditation received from CHAS. It is our policy to create and improve standards of Health and Safety, which will lead to the avoidance and reduction of risks and to ensure that the company complies with all Health and Safety legislation.”
