BANKERS BOX has launched a Plant-a-Tree initiative that will contribute to reforestation projects around the world. European customers who purchase BANKERS BOX archival corrugated products can now register to have a tree planted in the global forest.
Steven Hickey, European business team manager for BANKERS BOX, explained: “We’re very excited to launch the Plant-a-Tree initiative and are working with Tree Nation – an established, global organisation with the mission to tackle climate change by planting trees. It’s easy for customers who purchase our products to plant a tree with this initiative as they can do this from the comfort of either their home or office.
“The tree is then planted by plantation team members across the world. People then receive a detailed update about their tree.
“Corrugated boxes are one of the most environmentally-friendly ways to archive and store as these products ship flat packed. BANKERS BOX products are 100% recyclable and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved. As an industry-leading brand with a 100-year history, this initiative perfectly complements our strong values of sustainability and our global GIVE programme that is dedicated to building partnerships that address humanity’s greatest needs.”
Once registered with the BANKERS BOX Plant-a-Tree initiative, customers receive an email with a unique link to see where their tree is located in the global forest. This link also contains information about the tree species, CO2 compensation values and plantation details.
