BOSS Leaders of the Future Conference: announcing LOTF speakers

BOSS have announced two special speakers who will explore how to lead with people and planet at front of mind at the Leaders of the Future Conference on March 31st

Managing director, Simone Hindmarch

There’s an energy that emanates from Simone; a blend of steely determination, spontaneity, and creativity. It has taken her from Commonwealth Games swimming gold as a teenager, to today’s international business stage challenging and supporting firms to be a “force for good”.

As well as co-founder and managing director of Commercial, the £70m business services company, Simone has been intent to forge a path based on innovation aligned to social and environmental sustainability.

It is her philosophy to deliver meaningful and lasting change – a spirit Simone calls “Commercial by Nature” – that led to the honour of receiving the Queen’s Award for Sustainable Development in 2018 and has inspired a commitment for Commercial to achieve carbon net zero by 2028, two years ahead of government targets.

Simone lives life with conviction, launching a social enterprise to help young people develop workplace skills. Her leadership unites extraordinary teams in fields as diverse as managed IT, smart technology, digitisation, workwear and office supplies, empowering them all to make a significant and lasting difference to Commercial’s clients.

Managing director, Richard Boon

At the age of 31, Richard achieved the senior leadership position at Webmart just a week before the first lockdown. Faced with a global pandemic and a business on the cusp of expansion, Richard has since led his team to evolve Webmart into a purpose-led and award-winning Integrated Marketing Agency.

He also forged the way to become one of the 670 B Corporations within the UK, certifying that Webmart meets the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. Joining a global movement of people using business and profits as a force for good. Richard will share the journey of aligning people, profit and planet to look to the future and create sustainable leadership.
