Significant management changes at Egan Reid as Bruce Davie joins as MD
Stockport, 01/09/2022 – Today, Egan Reid Group are delighted to announce that former Spicers executive and ZenOffice Managing Director, Bruce Davie, has joined the business from the start of September.
“We are delighted to secure the services of someone with Bruce’s experience and reputation in the industry,” said Martin Reid, current Managing Director at Egan Reid Group. “His background in the wholesale channel and at a successful independent reseller gives us the skills we are looking for as we focus on the future growth of the Company”.
Bruce will work alongside Charlie Reid as Joint Managing Director, driving the business forward in an exciting new chapter. This, however, does not mean retirement for Martin and brother Andrew who have run the business for several decades since taking over from their late father Jack. “Far from it,” said Martin Reid. “While it will allow Andrew and myself to reduce the amount of time we spend in the business, we will continue to be very much involved. I will take on the role of Chairman and Andrew, CEO of the Group.”
Martin continues: “It is really important to us that we build on the legacy started by our father in 1957. By bringing Bruce on board, working alongside Charlie in sales, we are confident the future for the Egan Reid Group is very bright indeed. With a number of successful acquisitions under our belts in recent years, this appointment helps free us up from the day‐to‐day running of the business to focus on how we expand the Group further. We are always keen to talk to anyone in the trade who may be looking for an exit at this time.”
