Change in sales management at SIGEL

Gerhard Lecher is saying goodbye to the SIGEL sales team and handing over his duties to Ingo Dewitz ahead of his well-deserved retirement

After more than ten years in charge of the SIGEL sales team, Gerhard Lecher hands over his responsibilities to the new director sales Ingo Dewitz. Lecher, who joined SIGEL at the end of 2011 and took over the management of sales, is now retiring. “A heartfelt thank you to all our trade partners for the many years of good cooperation in a spirit of partnership,” says Lecher, expressing his gratitude. The SIGEL management is grateful for Gerhard Lecher’s performance and high level of commitment.

“We wish Mr Lecher much joy in his new phase of life and are pleased to have found an industry-renowned successor in Ingo Dewitz,” says Götz Stamm, CEO of SIGEL. “Mr. Dewitz brings with him a high level of expertise in sales and the stationery world as well as a strong network, which is an ideal addition to SIGEL. In his new position, he will use his knowledge and experience to further establish the SIGEL brand in the market, expand our positioning and align it for future market requirements.”

Dewitz gained extensive experience in the stationery industry, both on the retail and manufacturer side, including from 2010 to 2019 as a board member of the cooperative Büroring in the marketing and sales department. After that, he was responsible for all B2B sales in Germany as sales director at the office service provider Staples Solutions in Hamburg. Most recently, Ingo Dewitz accompanied the migration of Staples customers and Staples sales staff to Lyreco Deutschland GmbH.

“Our business is facing great challenges. People today work much more digitally, much more flexibly than in the past. My goal in SIGEL sales is to meet these challenges with new products and services,” says Dewitz.

“With the well-timed replacement of the soon to be vacant management position, a smooth transition is guaranteed. Our customers can rest assured that they will continue to receive the best possible service,” assures SIGEL MD Götz Stamm.
