As reported by stationers.org, the Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI) Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Veitch as its next chief executive
Alex joins CPI – effective 26th August 2025 – from his current role as director of Policy and Insights at the British Chambers of Commerce, where he has helped shape the voice of British business through a strong national and international network influencing Westminster, Brussels and regions across the UK.
With over 25 years of experience in strategic leadership, policy development, service delivery, communications, and member engagement, Alex brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. His previous positions include senior roles at Logistics UK, HMRC, the Rail Delivery Group, and the Energy Saving Trust.
In addition to his professional career, Alex has held leadership roles in the voluntary sector having served as a charity director and as vice-chairman of Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking.
The CPI board looks forward to working with Alex as he leads the organisation into its next chapter.
