As reported by Insider Media, after 40 years with Slingsby, operations director Dominic Slingsby is set to retire, marking the end of an era for the historic workplace equipment provider
Dominic Slingsby stepped down from the board on 11 March 2024. He will remain as an employee of the group until his retirement on 30 June 2024 after the company’s next annual general meeting.
Slingsby joined the company as a sales representative in 1982, becoming marketing manager in 1985. He was appointed to the board in 1990 and took up the role of managing director in 1997 before becoming interim executive chairman and operations director in 2016.
He has held the role of operations director since the appointment of a non-executive chairman in 2023.
Andrew Kitchingman, Slingsby’s independent non-executive chairman, said: “Dominic has worked for the Group for over 40 years. On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Dominic for his commitment and contribution during his tenure.
“His dedication will be missed by everyone at Slingsby and we wish him the very best in his retirement.”
HC Slingsby manufactures and distributes more than 45,000 products for commercial and industrial workplaces. It has its head office in Baildon, West Yorkshire.
