Exertis bolsters AI security offering with Scylla

Exertis has strengthened its security portfolio through a strategic partnership with Scylla

AI-based security has proven to not only be more effective but also save companies money by reducing labour costs.

According to the recent market analysis, the global video analytics market is expected to reach 22bln USD by 2027 growing at CAGR of 22.7% (2020-2027). The outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic also influenced the wider and quicker application of video analytics for threat detection.

Dominic Ryles, director of sales and commercial – security at Exertis Enterprise, said: “We are delighted to partner with Scylla and to have the opportunity to bring their leading real-time physical threat detection solution to our channel partners. This new addition to our vendor portfolio means we’re enabling our channel partners to not only open up new revenue streams for themselves, but a unique opportunity to bolster existing video solutions such as CCTV, UAV, thermal, and body cameras, with robust AI-powered technology, to deliver meaningful insights to detect objects, actions, and behaviour anomalies.”

Current surveillance and control systems still require human monitoring and intervention. An AI-based system can accelerate time to action – reducing situation escalation, injury, and even saving lives.

“We are thrilled to partner with Exertis to build on the strength of our innovative platform and capitalise on the massive opportunity and incredible demand we are seeing,” said Albert Stepanyan, Scylla’s founder and CEO. “Exertis is one of the largest and fastest growing technology distribution and specialist service providers.  This is a clear validation of our team’s outstanding work and the start of an exciting new chapter for Scylla, our customers, and our partner ecosystem. We are confident that Exertis’ resources and insights will help us accelerate and scale our growth strategy.”
