Integra Business Solutions Ltd will bid farewell to its long-standing purchasing director, Neil Basham, when he retires on 28th June. Basham joined the group in 2006, having formerly been MD at Europa Office Ltd, and has been pivotal to Integra’s success over the last 12 years. Basham will also relinquish his role as chairman of the BPGI EU Purchasing Council, a position he has held since 2009, and through which he has helped to expand the consortium’s purchasing portfolio.
Aidan Mcdonough, Integra’s CEO, commented: “Neil will be greatly missed by everyone at Integra. He has been instrumental in the growth of the group and is highly respected within the industry. I would like to take this opportunity of thanking Neil for his continued loyalty and commitment to Integra and wish him well in his retirement.”
Basham added: “I have worked directly or indirectly with Integra and BPGI since 1996. In that time, I have had the privilege to work with some outstanding individuals and teams both inside and outside of the business. I have thoroughly enjoyed their company and have greatly valued the loyalty and support I have been given over the years. I will miss working with the team at Newport and the Integra Board, but the Spanish sun is calling. I am delighted to be able to handover to a well-respected and trusted successor who we already have the pleasure of working with through BPGI.”
Integra is delighted to announce that Allison Fishlock, former head of merchandising at Office Club, will subsequently be joining Integra on 3rd June 2019 as the group’s new purchasing director.
Fishlock has a wealth of experience having been within the industry for over 28 years. She began her career as a product manager for an OP wholesaler, moving to Office Club in 1998 as the group’s marketing manager before taking on the role of purchasing manager and, in later years, being responsible for both areas as head of merchandising. Allison also sits on the Purchasing Council for BPGI and is very familiar with the vendor community.
Mcdonough said: “I look forward to welcoming Allison to the team and to working with her as we look to further strengthen our position in the industry and the groups purchasing portfolio. Allison brings with her extensive knowledge and an enthusiastic outlook to developing our services and most significantly our diversification programme.”
Fishlock commented: “I am delighted to be joining Integra and working with the team to help further develop Integra’s purchasing solutions for the benefit of both members and the group’s key partners. I also welcome the new opportunities the role will undoubtedly bring.”
