Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd is proud to announce its new partnership with Matrix247, to provide its customers with Konica Minolta’s powerful Workplace Hub Smart Managed IT solution and range of multi-function print (MFD) products – as a key component in its complete workplace digital transformation offering
The partnership with the Rossendale-based provider of managed IT, hosted telecoms, managed data networks, mobile business communications, cyber security, photocopier/printer, and document management solutions is an integral part of Matrix247’s evolution as a full cloud-based and hosted provider. Earlier this year the company acquired Task Office Systems, an IT support and print services provider based in Bolton.
Task has added a considerable print and photocopier element to Matrix247’s already broad and highly successful managed IT and Hosted Telecoms offerings, bringing totals to over 20,000 users from over 1200 clients currently benefiting from their solutions.
Stephen Pritchard, CEO and co-founder of Matrix247 commented: “Our growth strategy is focused on targeted partnerships and acquisitions, to cater for all the IT and communications requirements of our customers. With Task joining the Matrix247 family we wanted a strategic partnership with a manufacturer that can deliver not only powerful MFD and print solutions, but also complementary managed IT and workflow automation solutions. It rapidly became clear that Konica Minolta was the perfect partner to help us achieve this element of our growth strategy.”
Security is a key provision of the Matrix247 offering, which has due diligence approval from several UK law societies, along with a mobile telecoms team that boasts GCHQ training. These elements, along with its comprehensive service offering has enabled it to attract an impressive number of Legal and Professional Services clients. Stephen added, “Customers want to source all their services from one supplier. This new partnership with Konica Minolta enables Matrix247 to provide all the print, and managed IT systems, along with telecoms, mobile, data, and audio-visual solutions – all with our proven and trusted security wrap.”
Alongside its acquisition strategy, Matrix247 has been growing its business rapidly – doubling the size of its team and growing turnover from £3.1m to £5.3m since 2018. This ambitious growth and commitment to delivering highly secure and comprehensive digital transformation is also what caught Konica Minolta’s attention.
Neil Hamilton, UK channel development manager at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd, also commented: “Matrix247 not only has an impressive track record and pedigree, but it also has its eyes firmly on the future. This is exactly the sort of forward-facing and ambitious partner Konica Minolta wants to work with, taking not only our range of MFDs to its growing market base, but also furnishing customers with a fully managed service offering, which builds considerable value-add around our Workplace Hub Smart solution, to deliver an intelligent integrated connected workplace.”
The evolution of Matrix247’s proposition has been perfectly timed to meet a changing market, as Stephen continued, “Our customers need to run lean post-COVID, so we offer speed, simplicity, and complete services, all from one source. We want to have fully rounded discussions with clients – including how to archive documents securely and safely, which is especially important for the Legal Sector. In partnership with Konica Minolta, we will deliver fully wrapped solutions and will provide a strategic path for customers, enabling them to align their business goals with their strategic ICT strategy. We are extremely excited to be taking this next step in close collaboration with Konica Minolta – it’s a great partnership!”
