Midshire has overhauled the print capabilities of existing customer, Life Leisure, with the latest innovative solutions.
Taking place over one weekend in April this year, the charity saw its 12 Stockport leisure centres fitted with state-of-the-art Sharp multifunction printers and PaperCut print monitoring software.
With the 15 original machines provided by Midshire seven years ago coming to the end of their lease, IT sales manager Stuart Carruthers carried out a free print audit. He concluded that both overhead and running costs could be condensed by reducing the fleet to 13 brand new, eco-friendly Sharp devices.
All machines have been installed with GDPR-compliant PaperCut software, meaning staff can rest assured in the knowledge that only they can print the documents they send to the print queue; no unauthorised personnel can access confidential documents.
Adelle Izzard, systems manager at Life Leisure said: “In the entire 7 years that we’ve known Stuart and worked with Midshire there has never been any disappointment in the service received.
“When Stuart told me Midshire wanted to save us even more money by actually reducing the number of printers we had with more efficient ones I was obviously thrilled, their engineers will proactively maintain the machines too, so we’re never unable to print.”
Carruthers added: “This installation was unique due to the centres demanding 7-day schedule. We had to get each site up and running in a short window of time, so we preconfigured all of the machines beforehand so that the devices simply needed to be plugged in, with no need for on-site networking.”
He commented on the new equipment: “They’re quicker and much more affordable, and with the addition of PaperCut, we’ve forecast a further 30% saving on their annual print spend.”
