Midwich is delighted to announce that it has named mental health charity, Norwich & Central Norfolk Mind, as its chosen charity for the next two years, as voted for by employees. Midwich staff raised £45,834.36 for their previous chosen charity, Nelson’s Journey, during 2017 and 2018.
The 250+ staff located at Midwich head office in Diss launched the new partnership on Friday 1 March by raising £258 for the charity.
Sarah Ingram, fundraising manager, Norwich & Central Norfolk Mind, commented: “Norwich & Central Norfolk Mind are delighted to be chosen as the charity partner of Midwich for 2019 and we look forward to working with them over the coming months.
“We believe that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone and with the support from organisations like Midwich we can highlight the important work we do in the community and raise much needed funds for projects and services in the area.”
Carla Shipp, group head of HR at Midwich, commented: “We are delighted to partner with Mind as our chosen charity over the next two years. Staff get to choose which charity they wish to support and keeping our focus local is important to all of us here at Midwich.
“We really hope that with the values we aim to raise from the support of our staff, their families, friends and of course the wider community, it will help to make a real difference in providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.”
