Network Group's MD takes on new role

Since joining Network Group in 2010, MD Phylip Morgan has invested his energy, knowledge and acute commercial acumen to drive the award-winning community forward.

With three months to go before 2019 – a key year for the business that will face increasing challenges from market changes and Brexit – he has initiated a transition to a position on the executive board of Network Group into the new role of commercial director, creating the opportunity for a fresh pair of hands to take the group onward to the next phase of its evolution. So, before the end of the year, the group will appoint a new MD and Morgan will move into this new strategic role, continuing to play a pivotal part in the growth and development of the business.

Paul Rambridge, the Group’s chairman said

“This is a significant announcement for all at Network Group. Phylip has played a huge, vital and fundamental role in building the UK’s premier technology community to its present position and has established it as the channel’s leading networking group, the most inclusive and supportive in the history of the industry. His contribution to the Group and our channel cannot be overstated and will resonate for many years – we are delighted that he is continuing to serve with us on the board where we will continue to benefit from his enthusiasm, vision and passion.”

Morgan added:

“It has been a great honour and a privilege to have led this organisation for all these years and to have had such a close and intense collaboration with those I have had the pleasure to work with. I would like to thank, amongst others, the Group’s executives I have worked with over the years, and of course the team and the membership for the support afforded me. Particular thanks must go to former chairman Wayne Cockerill who hired me and who I worked with closely for so many incredible record-breaking years.

“The fantastic relationship I have developed with the members, our vendors and distributors has been magnificent but also humbling. Of all my professional experiences, this has been one of the most enriching and challenging to date and I look forward with excitement to the next chapter together.”
