Last week dealer group Office Club invited members to its headquarters in Watford for an update on activities since becoming a part of the Nemo group in July
The meeting was well-attended by members along with representatives from Nemo that included MD Tim Beaumont, chairman Michael Morgan, finance director Derek Bamford and group head of merchandising, Graeme Hargreaves.
Appreciating the opportunity to meet openly with dealers, group MD, Tim Beaumont said: “It was a fantastic turn-out and a hugely successful day in the bringing together of Office Club and Nemo. When we last met at the Office Club Conference in June it was just prior to the purchase, but now that the groups are fully united together, we were able to hold much more transparent and open discussions with members.
“The very pleasing thing was how we were able to confirm that all fourteen ‘early wins’ identified for Office Club dealers back in July have either already been executed, or on the verge of being launched. The two teams have also started working closer together with Office Club building websites for Nemo members and Office Club members using marketing tools from Nemo that were previously unavailable.
“The day also gave us the opportunity to listen to what members are looking for from their dealer group and launch new collaborative opportunities that will be coming along in 2020; including sharing details of the conference that will take place in Stratford-upon-Avon on the weekend of June 26th.
“The enthusiasm for the joint event from dealers in both groups is very exciting. The fact that Office Club has recruited a number of new members since becoming a part of the Nemo group is a real positive sign that independent dealers share our vision and want to be part of what is happening.”
Guy Hume of Sudbury Office Supplies attended the meeting and commented: “The open day provided the refreshing opportunity to raise questions and express views which were met with equal openness. It was great to meet with the Office Club team and the Nemo management to have honest conversations about the groups, how they work together and the benefits that exist for dealers.
“For our business it is crucial that the service and support that we get from Office Club remains as it always has been, and this has certainly been the case over the past few months; we look forward to utilising the support they give us as a business and taking advantage of any new initiatives and openings that arise – I look forward to a stronger future with the two groups working together.”
