Sheffield-based Office Friendly has partnered with Bruce & Butler, a data protection and GDPR specialist, alongside top industry suppliers to provide members with help and advice regarding the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation changes.
In February and March this year, Office Friendly will run three regional meetings across the country to inform members about GDPR in detail, educating them on how they can proactively take steps to ensure their businesses are compliant with the upcoming guidelines.
This GDPR program will allow members to ask questions, learn about the changes, and gain the information and resources necessary before the guidelines take effect on May 25th.
Office Friendly will also invite the top three suppliers from the industry to network with members and discuss how products and services can be used to assist with GDPR compliance.
Katie Metcalfe, marketing director at Office Friendly, says: “Stricter fines and new penalties mean that businesses up and down the UK are looking at the ways in which GDPR will affect them.
“It may feel a bit like the new ‘Millennium Bug’, but the GDPR will require businesses to have appropriate and auditable procedures and safeguards in place to responsibly protect peoples’ personal information.
“Office Friendly is committed to helping members move through this transition period with ease and have partnered with Bruce & Butler to provide the best knowledge and resources available.”
Attendance to the three workshops is free for members, and each one will include networking opportunities and food.
