Four of the team a Durable UK are set to tackle the inaugural ‘Ride for Life’ to raise money for The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR).
On Friday 7 September Sean Starkey (MD), Russell Shivas (finance & operations), Sam Rylands (marketing) and Nick Sanders (account manager) will tackle the gruelling 65-mile (100km) route which starts from the ICR campus in Sutton, Surrey.
The Ride of Life has been created as a sister event to the Climb of Life, which has been running for over 30 years and has raised nearly £1m. Starkey, who is one of the Ride of Life organisers, said: “The Ride of Life committee and I are delighted to be supporting the ICR with this new initiative, as well as the sterling and continued work done by Graeme and his Climb of Life team.”
The event is looking to raise as much money as possible for the ICR to help with the amazing work it does on a daily basis to support the fight against cancer.
Rylands added: “This will be a challenging 100km ride for all 29 riders taking part. Training is well under way though and we’re trying to get as many donations as possible to support such an important cause.”
