Exertis appoints two general managers

Exertis has announced the appointment of two general manager roles in the UK, Sarah Potter and Zoe Doel

Potter moves internally from business sales general manager to become general manager for the computing and TFT division and Doel returns to Exertis to take on the business sales general manager position.

Phil Brown, Exertis business sales and commercial director said: “I am delighted to have two such experienced people in these positions. They are well-respected, knowledgeable and ideally suited to taking on the challenges ahead. Both know the channel and Exertis well from their previous roles and I wish them every success in their new positions.”

Potter has been at Exertis for six years, the last two as sales general manager but she also has product management experience spending two years as the networking general manager and two further years as a BDM in the PC division. Prior to her time with the company, she spent six years as a sales account manager at Toshiba and a further nine years in various sales roles at Tech Data.

“I am looking forward to this new challenge to lead the computing and TFT commercial team. It’s an area where I have gained a good deal of experience in my time both at Exertis and with Toshiba. The PC market has been evolving over the last few years but we have a great set of vendors and an excellent team in place to ensure we can meet our customers’ needs,” said Potter.

Doel returns to Exertis, having worked the last two and a half years at NVIDIA most recently as regional sales manager for northern Europe. Prior to that, she was a business manager within the PC components team for six years, joining from Tech Data where she spent nine years in various sales roles. She has also been recognised as a finalist in the PCR women of the year, she said:

“I am so excited to be back home at Exertis. My time away has enabled me to broaden and strengthen my experience within the EMEA channels. Coupled with my previous fifteen years in distribution, it puts me in great stead to lead an already solid business area. I am devoted to my sales teams and look forward to continuing to delight our customers over the coming years.”
