Midwich is delighted to announce that its Christmas raffle was another hugely successful fundraising initiative for its charity partner, Norfolk and Waveney Mind, with over £13,000 raised through ticket sales
Some of the fantastic prizes donated for the raffle included an LG 60” 4K television, a Sonos speaker, dinner for two at the Auberge restaurant in Yaxley Suffolk, afternoon tea at Norwich’s Barnham Broom hotel and golf club, plus £1,000 cash donated by Midwich. The tickets were sold by Midwich staff to their friends and family.
The success of the Christmas raffle means that Midwich raised in the region of £28,000 for Mind in 2019, and that it is on course to pass its fundraising target of £45,000 for Mind by the end of 2020.
Midwich is committed to extensive fundraising for its charity partners and in another recent initiative asked its employees for donations of unwanted possessions to sell in its local Mind charity shop. Throughout November and December, Midwich staff also volunteered to work in the shop to help out during the busiest time of year.
Nick Seaman, member of Midwich’s charity committee, commented: “We’re really pleased with our fundraising efforts for 2019 and, knowing what we have planned for 2020, our team of fundraisers will continue to work hard to ensure we raise as much money as possible for Mind, our 2019-20 chosen charity partner. I would like say a huge thank you to our staff, friends, family and local community for all their kind donations.”
